Cookies and storage
Cookie Policy
Everything this site stores on your device, what each thing is for, and how to change your mind
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Some sites also use “local storage”, which works the same way from your point of view, so we treat both the same here and list everything.
Only the essential items below are set automatically. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories loads until you say yes — and you can change that at any time. We also count visits with our own software, which sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device — so it has no entry in the table below. There is a plain description of it in the privacy policy.
Essential
Needed for the site to work. These cannot be switched off, because without them we cannot remember your cookie choice, keep your chat thread, or keep the site secure.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| up_consent | Urban Ponics | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again and so we honour it on every page. | Until you clear it (local storage) |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Tells people apart from bots and keeps the site available under attack. | Up to 30 minutes / 1 year |
Analytics
Only with your consent. Tells us how many people visit and which pages they read.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and tells returning visits from new ones, so we know which pages are worth improving. | Up to 24 months |
Marketing and embedded video
Only with your consent. Without it, films appear as a still image with a button to load them — and loading one is consent for that film only.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vimeo player storage | Vimeo | Set by the video player once a film is loaded, to remember playback preferences. Nothing is set until you load a film. | Varies, set by Vimeo |
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page, or the button above. Withdrawing takes effect immediately. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings, which removes everything in the tables above, including the record of your choice — so we will ask again.
How we handle the personal data behind all this is described in the privacy policy.
