For housing, care and municipalities
Food people grow together.
A shared food ecosystem gives people work, something to learn and a reason to meet their neighbours. Here is what that looks like at a care farm in the Netherlands.

Social care farm, the Netherlands
100 Grow Pods, and a reason to come in every morning.
A social care farm built a 100 Grow Pod urban farm in its own buildings. Students, adults and elderly people work there every day, growing leafy greens, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, microgreens and more.
The work is meaningful because the harvest is real. And urban farming is now part of the students’ curriculum.

What it does for people
The harvest is the reason. The people are the result.

Work
Meaningful daily work with a result you can hold in your hands: sowing, tending, harvesting.

Learning
Where food comes from, for children and for adults. At the care farm it is now part of the curriculum.

Neighbours
People who would pass each other in the hallway meet over the same harvest.
What it does for the place
A courtyard or a roof that grows food all year is a place people stop in, look after and are proud of.
